A702-5 Runway/Threshold/Obstruction/Helipad/Taxiway
Ideal for areas where a high output light is required, the Model A702-5 runway light has all the features of the Model A702 light, but adds a top-mounted solar panel for significantly increased performance. The A702-5 operates automatically from dusk to dawn, although it can also run throughout the day during adverse weather or other low-visibility conditions. Designed for use at remote airfield landing strips and expedited airfields, the 700-series lights are ideal for temporary or permanent runway-edge lighting, obstruction lighting and helipad lighting tasks.
Split-lens versions are available for red/green (threshold), amber/white (caution), and red/white lighting applications.

Accessories
| 50145 | 2" to 1" Frangible Coupling |
|
The 2" to 1" frangible coupling includes a 1" column with additional set screw for secure installation using Carmanah aviation accessories. The 2" to 1" frangible coupling adapts to the 1.5" Carmanah Floor Flange, the 2" Carmanah Floor Flange, the 601 airport mounting plate and conventional 2" threaded NPT stakes. The 2" to 1" frangible coupling is manufactured out of aluminum, providing FAA compliance for high and medium intensity edge light requirements.
The 2" NPT Frangible Coupling will provide a permanent, temporary or expedited mounting system for Carmanah aviation lights.

| 37002 | Airport Mounting Stake (1.5" Hub) |
|
Manufactured out of galvanized steel, the all weather airport mounting stake allows for permanent installation in earth and gravel environments at general aviation airports and remote defense airfields. The 30" airport mounting stake is available in 2" and 1.5" coupling configurations. Frangible coupling size must be determined before ordering.
Stake (Angle Iron) Mounting Instructions: Install the stake in a 6" (15 cm) diameter hole at a depth of 30" (76 cm). Do not install stake by driving it into the ground. Backfill around the stake with thoroughly compacted earth passing a 1" (2.54 cm) sieve. Where required due to unstable soil conditions, backfill with concrete. Install the top of the stake even with, or not more than 1/2" (1.3 cm), above the finished grade and maintain within 1 degree of the vertical. In areas where frost may cause heaving, anchor the stake with concrete and use a permeable backfill material such as sand and then cover the top surface with an impervious material to reduce moisture penetration.
